Special Events

Our fundraising and public relations team organizes special fundraising events, which provide exposure and much needed funds for our Peer Mentoring Program. Since 1995 Youth Assisting Youth has hosted a Golf Marathon that challenges participants to play 100 holes in one day. Golfers collect pledges in order to raise funds.

In 1999 Youth Assisting Youth initiated the Heroes of Hockey series of fundraising galas. In the past, hockey legends such as Jean Beliveau, Johnny Bower, Paul Coffey, Red Kelly, Wendel Clark, Yvan Cournoyer, Tony Esposito, Paul Henderson, Mike Palmateer and Bernie Parent have attended the event.
